The asset management and financial administration team handles the asset management and investment advisory function, which includes financial administration and reporting, loan facility management, interest payments and swaps, audit process co-ordination, property valuations, capital raising and JSE financial compliance functions, investment analysis and financial due diligence for potential acquisitions.
The operations team is responsible for the day to day operational management of property portfolios including regular comprehensive property audits, management of all repairs and maintenance, regulatory compliance and implementation of all operational protocols.
The developments team manages all developments, redevelopments and upgrade projects, and prepares capital allocation approvals, evaluates investment opportunities and formulates proposals relating to developments, redevelopments or upgrades. Following the approval of a project, the developments team will manage the project from start to finish.
The leasing team handles national retailer relationships and is responsible for letting and lease administration including marketing of vacant space, pro-active management of the tenant mix and lease expiry profiles, vetting potential tenants, drafting and finalizing all lease documentation and ensuring FICA requirements are met.
The legal and compliance team consists of in-house attorneys who are responsible for managing all legal work for Capital Land and its clients which includes compliance with all applicable and relevant laws including JSE compliance, assistance in relation to acquisitions and disposals of immovable property, legal support to asset management and property management teams in terms of arrears management and oversight of the secretarial function.
The marketing team manages the non – GLA income generated through media and promotions, and is responsible for all marketing related activities including building clients brands through websites, press releases, events and functions.
